Kevin Barr

Kevin Barr was elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election of October 11, 2011.
Mr. Barr is the NDP caucus critic for the Departments of Community Services, Tourism and Culture and the Yukon Liquor Corporation. He is also the caucus liaison for issues related to the Child and Youth Advocate.
Mr. Barr was previously a community justice worker and advocate for residential school survivors and their families. He is a Juno and Western Canadian Music Award nominated musician who has lent his talents to the Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition, the Yukon Quest, the Terry Fox Run, the CHON-FM Christmas Pledge Show, and numerous other benefit concerts and events.
Mr. Barr is a proud father of four children and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Yukon.
