Kate White was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election for the 33rd Legislative Assembly on October 11, 2011 and re-elected in the general election for the 34th Legislative Assembly on November 7, 2016.
Ms. White is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Statutory Instruments and the Standing Committee on Appointments to Major Government Boards and Committees. Ms. White was appointed to these committees by order of the House on January 12, 2017.
Ms. White has been the leader of the Yukon New Democratic Party since May 2019. She is the NDP caucus critic for the Department of Community Services, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Social Services, the Department of Environment, the Yukon Housing Corporation, the Women's Directorate, the French Language Services Directorate, the Yukon Development Corporation, the Yukon Energy Corporation, and the Yukon Lottery Commission. She is also the Third Party House Leader.
During the 33rd Legislative Assembly Ms. White served on the Standing Committee on Appointments to Major Government Boards and Committees.
